Trusting the Voice

trusting the voice no matter what was at times a scream at times breathlessness but always your own cadence that scratch in the throat that scratch and that wound have happened to all of us but it still lets us speak in trusting the voice we can keep quiet on time so we’re able to leave but not without first saying the word not without at least having loved what matters and above all trusting it just to let a small voice be raised above ours the voice of someone who had a bad dream today and asks us please to sleep unfearing against the turndown of our sheets
