Charm

Mary Meriam

My rooster sleeps the sleepe of birds
free to fly the drifting sky.

My hen divides hir eggs in thirds
and warms thim with hir loving eye.

My peaceful flower beds begin
releasing spring and blossoming.

My roof keeps cozy feelings in
while winter haz hir final fling.

My windows tell the world to staye
a distance from my silver sink.

My door will make ye go awaye
or knocks or bells will make it blink.

Repeat these stanzas like a spell
till ye are well, and all is well.
